August 31^st, 1996. 2^nd-ranked Tennessee opens newly expanded Neyland Stadium in front of a then record 106,212 fans to recognize the 75^th anniversary of the Stadium. The Vols don’t disappoint in the opener against UNLV. Two Jay Graham touchdown runs and a Joey Kent TD catch stake UT to a 21-0 lead in the 1^st. It’s smooth sailing from there, as Tennessee rolls to a 62-3 win over the Running Rebels.
