Investigation Underway into Deadly, Early-Morning House Fire in Oak Ridge

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The Oak Ridge Fire Department (ORFD) and Oak Ridge Police Department (ORPD) are investigating after a deadly fire on Sheridan Circle early Thursday morning.

ORFD crews responded to the home just before 3 a.m. after a call for a structure fire with a report of a person trapped inside.

Two ORFD firefighters suffered minor injuries, including a cat bite and a burn, and were both treated and released from Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

The investigation is ongoing. No other information will be released at this time.
