Most roads in and around Knox County are in good shape and engineers say their crews have spread around 70,000 gallons of brine across the roadways including a couple hundred tons of salt but with that comes the risk of potholes.
Crews with the Knox County Engineering an Public Works department have also been busy patching potholes across the county.
There are several ways for you to report potholes.
In Knox County, call 865-215-5800 or download the SeeClickFix mobile app which is available on Android and iPhone.
The City of Knoxville has a hotline, 311 and if you see a pothole on the interstate or a state highway, please call 833-TDOT FIX.
While pothole patching is important, the best solution is repaving the roads which can’t be done until temperatures are warmer.
