Knox County Regional Forensic Center Announces ID in 2022 Cold Case

The Knox County Regional Forensic Center has identified remains discovered several years ago in wooded North Knoxville area near Fourth and Gill.

The Knoxville Police Department and a RFC investigator assisted in the recovery and examination of the remains found August 16, 2022. A forensic center anthropologist determined that the remains belonged to a white female between 30 and 50 years old.

RFC reviewed cases from the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System database and noticed a profile for a person matching the details of the remains which were identified as Erin Callahan from Knoxville.
