An investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a Murfreesboro woman, charged with aggravated assault in connection with the death of her own mother. Last night, TBI special agents joined officers with the Sparta Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol in a death investigation at a residence on N. Edgewood Drive in Sparta. After responding to a 911 call about a domestic disturbance at the address, Sparta officers found 54-year-old Emmaline Webb unresponsive. When EMS arrived, it was determined the victim was deceased. During the course of the investigation, agents determined the victim’s daughter, 30-year-old Quonisha Webb, was the individual responsible for assaulting the victim. Webb was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault Cause of Death and was booked and is currently being held without bond.
