Medic with a Slight Lead Against LifeSouth in Annual UT versus FL Blood Drive

The Medic versus LifeSouth blood drive runs through tomorrow (Friday); it’s the annual UT versus Florida Blood drive to see which blood bank can collect the most blood donations.

Medic won last year and has a slight lead so far this year (Wednesday Medic collected 397 units and blood compared to LifeSouth’s 347 with the over totals with Medic at 1045 units to LifeSouth at 976 units). Mayor Glenn Jacobs has made a friendly wager with Gainesville Mayor Harvey Wade over the competition and it would be great to hear Wade singing Rocky Top.

Donors will receive a lot of swag, including coupons to various restaurants, for your donation this week.
