Report: Some D.C.-Area Police Departments Won’t Assist on Inauguration

At least seven local D.C.-area police departments won’t be assisting the Metropolitan Police Department with security on Inauguration Day, reports the Daily Caller.

The report wasn’t clear on the reasons but said one department cited MPD’s memorandum of understanding (MOU), or agreement between departments.

“I was just told that based on the current MOU, we will not be assisting Metro PD,” a spokesperson for Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland told the Caller.
